Nora Roberts wurde 1950 in Silver springs, Maryland geboren und schreibt seit einen Schneesturm 1979 traumhafte Liebesromane und spannende Krimis. sie ist in 2. Ehe verheiratet und hat 2 Söhne. Ihren 2. Ehemann lernte sie kennen, als er bei ihr Bücherregale eingebaut hat und heute betreibt sie mit ihm einen Buchladen in Boonsboro, Maryland.
Ihr erster Roman wurde 1981 veröffentlicht und inzwischen landete sie 29 Mal auf der New York Times Bestseller-Liste auf Platz 1. Ihr Bücher werden in über 30 Sprachen übersetzt und 11 ihrer Bücher wurden inzwischen auch verfilmt. Ich bin mal so mutig und behaupte – da kommt noch mehr 🙂
Seit 1995 veröffentlicht sie unter dem Pseudonym J.D. Robb eine eigene Sci-Fi-Krimiserie .
